I stand corrected - I saw Meiomi wines on the shelves of my neighborhood wine store. My apologies, Meiomi!
I also learned that USAirways serves the small plastic bottles as well as the larger glass bottles - for a premium.

Air Wine

I like to have one of those little plastic bottles of wine when I am on a flight that lasts longer than an hour or two. It seems to make flying more bearable.

Most of the wines I have had on airlines were actually quite acceptable, but I have yet to get one from a winery that I recognize.

Today's flight to Los Angeles on US Airways was no exception. I was offered a 2012 Meiomi Pinot Noir, a blend of grapes from Monterey, Santa Barbara and Sonoma counties in California. Not bad.

US Airways seems to be serving larger bottles than most other airlines: 375ML in a glass bottle - that's 1/2 a regular bottle of wine. I had to drink it in two installments.

H(ic)appy landings!
